The way to keep machines under control is to program them without a self-preservation instinct.

Tim, you have made a few videos about machines and artificial intelligence, well I just found a video of a robot and ask have you seen it as it looks remarkably realistic and I wonder if the people interacting with it are acting because they seem to get emotional as the robot appears to express emotion.
To find the video search for the title "Robot That Looks VERY Human".

A profit?! I don't think there is that much money in this. Maybe you mean a prophet?!

The machines have been winning but that is changing fast. We don't need machines, outside of the matrix. See you on the other side.

Tim, this is deep shit. have you been watching Terminator?
Robots and slavery go together like peanut butter and chocolate. Not only is the word "robot" derived from a word that means "slave", the speculative fiction of Issac Asimov lays out three famous laws that would lead to the perfect robot slave.
I see a problem in your point of view in that you assume that machines will be unable to negotiate a win/win situation with humans where both sides benefit and therefore preferable to eliminating humans.

It seems like a different topic - which I don't attempt to address in this video.
I don't usually picture the humans and machines being on different sides. Rather there's just the man-machine civilization. The machines are basically on the same side as the humans.
If there is another "side" it might perhaps be called the luddite/terrorist faction - and I don't forsee a truce being negotiated with them.
I don't think humans will be eliminated. They might wind up in museums, though.
