A couple of years ago, I bought France Clidat playing Erik Satie(Forlane) and this is my one of favorite Erik Satie piece. I played it by ear, So it's kind of shortened version I guess. Anyway, enjoy~

  • Very nice piece! Bravo! And I love France Clidat, i listened to her last year in Châtelet , Paris, playing Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody, she was incredible.

  • @chipheo24 Wow~! I envy you~ Watching her performance woule be awesome~!!

  • Satie is one of my favorites!!!! I love Gymnopedie. Have you played that yet?

  • Thanks for the comment and yes, I do play Gymnopedie off and on~~

  • I love Satie! Thanks for playing a Gnossienne! I haven't heard France Clidat's version, but I like your take on the piece, even though it seemed a little too fast when I first heard it.

  • Thanks~~:)

  • When I found her playing him I was fulfilled. Now I post this on FB so others may enjoy as well.

  • Thanks for the comment, Douglas~

  • dustin ohalloran has an opus 17 that could be a gnossienne, for your curiosity!

regardless, it seems the composition was developed one hand at a time, left, to start...

i love your playing by the way... you are completely immersed in the music, one forgets quickly that it's a piano..

    bravo
