Does anybody ever look at history??? Does Vietnam ring a bell? This is not a conventional war. Obama should have asked Katie about sectarian violence before we were there in the first place! Bush lied to go to war. When there was a troop surge in Vietnam, the situation became more and more complicated. Same thing happened with Russians in Afghanistan

The surge is very expensive:

it contributes to 46% of the deficit

it costs 126 times the money that we get back from Iraq in terms of oil

Lets be straight. John McCain is third in line in when it came to making a correct decision with the Iraq war. The first person is Obama by voting against going into Iraq. The second is Gen. Eric K. Shinseki who was pushed aside by the Bush admin. when he told how many troops it would take to be effective in Iraq and third is McCain with the troop surg.

It sends chills down my spine thinking that this man could be commander in chief. He is a rhetoric machine; all talk, absolutely 0 experience to back any of it up. And even when he is dead wrong - like on the surge - his mindset won't let him admit it.

what does intel operations have to do with military operations!!! they are two separate things. Intel acts clandestinely and share info amongst various global agencies-big difference! Military ops in Afghanistan would at best crush the Talibans own 'Surge'+ strangle there reign of terror on the population+reduce the number of hideouts the Taliban controlled areas offer al quaeda fighters+also destroy the money taliban get from growing heroin for sales they convert to fund war+terror operations

No perfect intel strikes you say!!! How do you think top Al quaeda leaders were being bumped off in Iraq Afghanistan and Pakistan! Of course there is perfect- those dead al Quaeda leaders are proof! He knows who's fighting who in Iraq unlike McCain who needs Liebermann at his side to correct his lack of knowledge in statements he makes about combatants in the area. Ok, a perfect intel strike that doesn't exist in reality. And Obama sending 2 brigades from Iraq to Afghanistan makes this possible how? Obama doesn't even know that there are different languages through out the Middle East.
