A short video about the lives of Shura (ALexander) Kosmodemyansky and Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya. The narration Zoya's live is mainly based on the testimonies of the villagers of Petrichevo along with narrations of her partisan comrades while Shura's life is mainly based on the Soviet army documents. Finally a vital source of information on both children were the memoirs of their mother.

The video aspires to narrate their deeds along with a depictive description on the everyday life and attitude of the people in the Soviet Union. Most people in the West have a falsified opinion about the latter. One prime example is Siberia. Siberia is regarded as a totally hostile environment where life is an absolute torment and where people would be sent there only for punishment. This however cannot explain how this large region was inhabited even before the medieval times. Most westerns find it difficult to understand or even believe that anyone would move there voluntarily. Yet the truth is that during the early Stalin era Siberia was populated more by the mass waves of voluteers than by the few prisoners. The hundreds of new cities that were founded during the early 30's exist even today as they have not been abandoned as somebody would expect from a town that was forcefully founded. The truth is that people from all over the Soviet motherland responded to Stalin's plea for the need for rapid industrial developement and new resources and moved there voluntarily. They worked hard and so the five year plan was finished in four years. This high productivity was vital for the Soviet thriumph in the Great Patriotic War.

Concerning the war itself the Western impression is totally misguided. Western movies like "Enemy at the Gates" depict the Soviets like a bunch of coward animals eager to abandon their posts and fighting only because they are forced to fight threatened by a gun. This however is far from the truth. From the very first day of Operation Barbarossa one could see the Soviet people pushing each other to get a position to the army recruitment offices so that they can ensure a position in the most glorious pages of Soviet history. From teenage boys to ancient granpas and from high-school girls to ageless babushkas people of all races and professions were there to participate. And even in the Gulag camps people demanded a place in the front. Unfortunately much of that Soviet history has been covered up by anti-historical lies, and Nazi revansism and very few people can now comprehend the Soviet Greatness during the 40's.

The contents of the video have been edited to a degree to match with the music and the video-style. Many of the dialogues and descriptions have been shortened in order to fit in the songs. I will not take the time to describe in detail the torments she suffered. I believe that the onces I describe in the video are enough to give you a first impression of the horrible practices that the Nazis used to amuse themselves. But history was totally vengeful towards them. When Shura joined the war to avenge his sister, comrade Stalin took personal care that his division would be the one to storm 197th German division, the division that bruttally murdered his sister. Shura showed no mercy to them and he did not let anyone survive from that infernal division. Only after his sister was avenged was he able to find peace. He died some months later during the Siege of Kongisberg. Comrade Kalinin proclaimed both children Heroes of the Soviet Union. His noble decision did not go unnoticed. The city where Shura fell was soon renamed: Kaliningrad. Kaliningrad is located by the Baltic sea in a small piece of Russian land between Poland and the Nazi States. Despite the strong current of brutal anti-communism nobody dared to propose an alteration of the name of the city. The city bears the name of our beloved president even today and remains a strong reminder of the recognition of the heroic Soviet sacrifices.
