Norwegian Homeguard - HV-016 Promo video

HV-016 is the special unit of the Norwegian Homeguard, it was formed in 1988 to counter the perceived threat from Soviet Special Forces (Spetsnaz). Since then HV-016 has evolved with the changing times. The unit is led by career officers while most of the soldiers are part time, all of them having served previously full time in the Norwegian Armed Forces. The members of HV-016 are carefully selected and well equipped. The unit has the following primary missions:

- Close Protection
- Direct action
- Close Quarter Battle (CQB)
