I live in Tempe and i carry a Glock 19 iwb right behind my right pocket where I keep my wallet. I guess my question is, in my case should I let the officer know I am carrying a firearm before he asks for my identification because I think he would see the 19 sticking out when I reach for my wallet because cops are always watching where your hands are during traffic stops.

LOL, liar eh?
ignorant?
sounds like you are the one who can't understand the law of AZ which I quoted, and referred you to
Your lack of professionalism, knowledge and respect show you for what you are.. can't hide it ..
since you can not even communicate without threats, name calling and lies..we are done here

I believe in Florida you are not obligated to disclose. Chances are they are not going to do a search anyway. If they do, THEN you can tell them you are carrying before getting out of the car so as not to alarm the cops.

@jolow2 I'd beware if I were you. some states don't give you the choice, you have to. In the video of the Ohio stop he was trying but the officer was too emotional to deal with it. I really don't think it is an isolated case and for our safety, FROM POLICE, I don't think we should have to.

I tend to agree

I saw a video where you simply give your ccw permit along with your license. I don't know if I'd even do that. Probably wouldn't say anything.

When I got stopped in Florida while carrying, I didn't divulge any information either. Doing 19mph over the limit and he gave me a warning.
If you have a ccw in az. When they run your plates would it show them that you have a ccw permit?

Point taken. Double edged sword. Thanks for the response.

I am not totally disagreeing with you, just that here in AZ at least my experience is from maybe 5 or 6 traffic stops, is only two resulted in a ticket, and only this once has the LEO asked if we had guns and then cared or wanted to have it.. so I don't think I would bring it up in the future unless asked directly about it since the stops seem to go faster when it isn't an issue at all

@GunWebsites if he shot your leg, you can sue the state for money.
