Ahem! I'm assuming you've never seen pictures/films of the Titanic looked like when it was docked before it's maiden voyage? And that you've also never seen the pictures of what that once great ship looked like at the bottom of the ocean? That's EXACTLY what these before/after pictures should remind one of. Not to worry; don't modern educators say there's "no such thing as a stupid question?"

Its great to see that an effort is being made to safe some buildings. I would love to see Detroit all fixed up in its glory. Easier said than done but it would still be great.

My Pop would stay there overnight sometimes after bringing trains into MCS Mich Central Station in the 60's through 80's.

I went on a tour here when it reopened in October. The did a terrific job renovating this hotel, I thought for sure that this building was going to be demolished. It is good to see that buildings are starting to be preserved and renovated. I look forward ti visiting the renovated Fort Shelby hotel in Detroit soon!

Don't the original before/after pictures remind you of the before/after pictures of the Titantic? What a tragedy; what Negroes did to destroy a once great "superpower" of American cities is criminal.
