  • This has to be illegal - how can a civilian pilot fly that close to skyscrapers without being considered a danger to others? I am surprised one of the LAPD's many choppers didn't catch up with this guy and force him to land.

  • I am sure you are not a pilot. But you are probably a driver. I am surprised one of many LAPD's cars didn't catch up with you and forced to walk for recklessly driving to close to buildings and endangering civilian pedestrians with certain death under your four wheeled death trap. :-)

  • That lift-off was better than mine. It looked like you were doing the dancing donkey for a moment.

How is it flying between buildings like that? Portland has a few tall buildings, but I don't get up that way much, or at all. All I can say is WOO HOO !!! Have fun.

  • Thx. Flying between buildings in downtown LA was simply awesome. I highly recommend it. I was suprised it is not prohibited. Good luck

  • Its like GTA San Andreas

  • świetny film , w nocy pewnie jeszcze fajniej

  • @2313100 First rule for anything you give an opinion on...if you don't participate in it, don't comment on it like you know what you're talking about. Being a skydiver and a pilot, I read some of the most ignorant opinions and comments from average-and-boring people who suddenly find themselves talking like experts.

To the original poster, is part of the logic behind the reason it's not prohibited due to the fact that many of those buildings have helipads?

    Great vid.

  • best flyby in LA video EVER EVER EVER!!!!

  • are you f***n kidding me you flew BETWEEN the (former) Bank of America and Arco Towers I'm keeping a copy of this!

  • nice video :)

  • The skyscrapers in Los Angeles are required to be 80 feet from each other... Which makes it possible for copters to fly through.. But it's dangerous I agree. You can't do this in Chicago or new York city because they got buildings wall to wall.

  • I spoke with a helicopter flight instructor in LA since I first saw this footage and he assured me that, although there are no hard and fast rules regarding distance from buildings, the general rule used by professional pilots (helitours, etc.) flying through downtown LA is 500 feet from buildings at all times. This guy is clearly less than 100 feet from buildings in a very light helicopter which CAN result in Sheriff or LAPD forcing a landing. Inexperienced and foolish, but lucky in this case.
