Driving down the steepest street in America, which I'm pretty sure is 22nd, the bottom of the hill is at Church. Notice the light poles, angle of parked cars, and angle of building.
Man, this is like every street in the south side slops and south hills here in pittsburgh. I believe the steepest hill is in Pittsburgh. Can not drive down it and it is also made of cobble stone. However the street in New Zealand gets the credit because it is much longer, as the one here in pittsburgh is only about 30 yards long. Its in Beechview i think.
Not even anywhere close. There's one in Bluefield WV that if frightening. You drive it so slow because you feel that if you hit anything that would bounce your shocks, your car would flip end over end. People will drive miles out of their way to avoid it.

not even close for SF. Wisconsin between 19th & 20th and 22nd Between Rhode Island and Kansas are both steeper than this.
