  • Hi i have a stock sand viper that i made myself and i have a quick question,

On the back i have the motor but the plug side has no cover, this is a problem as dust, water. grass and gravel can get inside to the moving components. i was wondering if your viper has a motor cover on this side also and if not what are you doing to cover it?

    THANKS

    Dan

  • Hi Dan,

My Viper has a motor cover just on the pinion side (right side).

On the left side cover the motor just aluminium motor heat sink.

image with details in my video on youtube:

The DT-02 is not waterproof, do not recommend to use near water.

tarmac, sand, dust, no problem. ;)

  • thx :)

    Tires: Grooved front 1.1" (27mm) wide, 3.1" (80mm) diameter Spiked rear 1.6" (41mm) wide, 3.4" (86mm) diameter

  • Who buys Sport Tuned Tamiya motor? Maybe noob , but not me.I prefer much more like brushless motors :P

  • @gurtipapa well cmon you gotta say thats just stupid, a sand viper that cant go much on sand due to risk of water, lol. i wanted to race my dads rough rider ( thats 100% water tight) on the beach so all the water kicks up lol. i suppose il just have to go more in land.

  • thanks
