Dave Edmunds is one of the most underrated guitar heroes ever. I believe I read somewhere Hendrix was a fan. I believe it.

They invented metal before it was even invented according to "rockologists."

@rudeguitart It has often been speculated that this and Sabre Dance are recordings speeded up

Brilliant! I never understood why Dave Edmunds gave up doing great guitar solos once Love Sculpture broke up, instead focusing on much more mundane stuff like I Hear You Knocking. I guess he just got lazy quickly.

UNDERRATED?That ain,t the word.I was introduced to this track by my dad(Ray Phillips/Ex BUDGIE Drummer)at about 8 years of age.And it has allways been my goal as a guitarist to master this song on guitar. For the main part(At 38 years old now)I,ve cracked it but.......I have never managed to nail the solo with the attitude Mr Edmunds has got and in my eyes thats what puts him at the top of my list for best guitarist in the world. You can keep your Vai,s and Satriani,s.Dave and a boss pedal ROCK!
hawkmoon, i see your point, but Sabre takes it for me, by a nose as they say in horse racing.
I was 15 when it came out, on Peel's Top Gear, and he played it twice. Then it was a hit single. Not that long after the Nice did "America" so as a classical cross over it was in good company.
"Badjayci": nice one, i like that!

@thewordofgord I remember that Peel session too. It was such an incredible sound and he played it again at the very end of the program. Hadn't heard him do that before. Rondo by The Nice was even more classical crossover, fabulous live at the Marquee.
