  • hmm so the ground does not freeze under the pavement at anytime? If it does .. where does the water go when it thaws from temp and addition of deicers.. does it not refreeze again or are you saying this drains all the time during winter conditions with this system

  • A question we hear all the time. Actually, there are applications in Canada and northern states that have demonstrated porous pavement do not collect ice (doesn't hang around waiting to re-freeze). A correctly designed sub-drain system can remove water from shallow base courses. Deeper base courses maintain a warmer ambient temp.... For example, the parking lot in the video has a gravel reservoir depth 18"-32". Well below the frost depth for the region...........

  • what about northern states and freeze thaw resistance... what type of lifespan would this concrete get in that enviroment?
