However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way. (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)

  • lol trying to sound all smart.

  • @szeilea Not really.

  • You fail to realise that slaves back then were treated like part of the family. They had rights. What America practived 100 years ago wasn't slavery, it was much much worse. Please look at both sides of teh equation before coming up up with an answer.

  • @Jionunez7 Wrong, they were indentured servants and they were treated much worse. The bible clearly states that if they beat them, as long as they don't die in three days you are fine, even if they die after four you are fine. They worked them to death, it was terrible. I know how slavery was back then, and it was much worse then our slavery, and if you actually did research you would know that.

  • @fuck192ass hahahahaha

  • when science finally comes up with the proof that there is not a god, then you can sit here and say "there definetley is no god". Until then, all you can say is "i don't believe there is a god".

same goes for believers, when they have proof, they can say "there is a god". until then, all they can say is "i believe there's a god".

i don't understand what you don't get about that, kid. lol

  • @Pinoy0y lol

  • @JOExTHExVEGAN first particles came from GOD

  • @joshrocks11 i never said you were making the argument it doesn't exist in this video. but anyway, i guarantee you if slavery wasn't endorsed in the original pressings of the bible, nobody in that time period would have followed it. why in a culture where it is widely accepted would people support a book that tells them it's wrong? like i said, humans wrote the bible, not the god they believed in. so therefore, religious people's societal ideas were still involved, a thing called free will.

  • @JOExTHExVEGAN I am working off the premise christians are right, and he did influence the book. In that case, he did endorse slavery. I am not making the argument he doesn't exist in this video.
