Michael T. Klare is professor of Peace and World Security Studies, defense correspondent of The Nation magazine, and author of Resource Wars and Blood and Oil: The Dangers and Consequences of America's Growing Petroleum Dependency.

CitizenEnergy is the Youtube channel for the Dutch documentary, Energy Risk, a documentary associated with the transmedia project, Collapsus: The Energy Risk Conspiracy. The CitizEnergyChannel provides several English video fragments from the documentary on the coming energy crisis. Experts analyze our problematic dependency on fossil fuels and the dangers and risks of this dependency.

Collapsus: The Energy Risk Conspiracy, looks at the near future and crafts a story about the inevitable disaster of the great energy crisis. Collapsus combines interactivity with animation, fiction and documentary, showing the viewer how the world will cope with transition from fossil fuels to alternative energy sources. That this somewhat grim scenario is not at all unlikely is shown by the analyses of energy experts on the CitizEnergy Channel and the Energy Risk documentary.
