  • @kenndezerted really? He is way better than me, But then again Im 40 years old and 275lbs! HA! I dont do the jumping split kick so well but I try.

  • he is rushing a little bit..not bad but definitely needs to work on the kicks and timing..

  • he reli ned 2 work out on his balancing, kicking n movement. overall nt bad.

  • not bad, but he could have worked on his kicks more, overall nice. im learing this pattern and it's not that great

  • Yes, you are right. I sometimes forget that the ITF has actually split into three entities now.

I am not familiar with CJH's politics but I certainly cannot dispute your belief about his motives for the change.

  • Only Choi Jung Hwa's ITF has; the other two haven't. Kodang is a totally different pattern, it wasn't the original name of this one. It was different altogether and the entire pattern was replaced in the syllabus. I don't think Choi Jung Hwa ever liked the NKs in the 1st place.

  • Interestingly enough...

Effective 24/6/2008 the ITF restored the original name of this patern - kodang.

This is hugely significant as the name "Ju Che" had been forever associated with General Choi's expulsion from S. Korea and an endorsement of the government of North Korea (Note: that may not have been true, Choi - a North Korean - was likely just showing cultural pride).

It suggests the ITF (split into 3 since the general's death) is trying to regain acceptance in certain areas.

  • Hey did you see the one done by Jaroslaw Suska, 5th dan? It's on YouTube and it's really well done. Useful for learning the patterns.

  • JuChe IS the nice pattern but it take hard work to train it well to get them out even 5th Dan still practicing that pattern to get it down perfectly

  • iam so happy to see ITF pattern nice work kenji.
