The 60th annual Ohara festival was held in Kagoshima city on Nov. 2 and 3rd. It's to commemorate the founding of the city. The first day consists of people from different companies getting together and doing a traditional dance from 7 PM to 9 PM. The second day is a full day of marching brass bands and more traditional dancing, with taiko drumming during the breaks. This video is of a junior high school taiko group. I only caught the second of the two pieces they.played. (Predictions set attendance at 600,000 visitors and 20,000 dancers.)
