The best way to remove a broken off bolt, is to put a nut on top of the broken bolt, and put a weld inside of the nut , to attach it to the bolt. and then just screw it off.

@mattebigge sure, if the bolt isnt broken flush or lower. in that case youd be right. either way works well. notice how the original bolt broke again, not the one i welded on.

its not welding the galvonized its the gases and fumes that come off when you weld it there toxic

yes, all fumes are bad really, i forgot to show in the vid, run the grinder along where your going weld.

You could have cut a slit in top of the bolt and used a flathead to get that out

You can weld galvanised metal easy enough but, the fumes and smoke that come off it are poisenouse, make sure to wear a resperator and u will be fine

The problem with welding galvanized is the fumes that come from zinc. You can remove the zinc on the galvanize metal with Muradic Acid and then you be good to go. Make sure to paint it though.

I do hope you use a good mask when welding the Galv metals! I made that mistake as a kid and it was painfull to my Lungs ! It's some nasty stuff !
