@will98fb Actually this lens itself is pretty good. I use it mainly for portraits, because of the large aperture which is perfect for portraits. And it doesn't matter what camera you're using, the important thing is the lens and you... lol

i have the same camera and i just ordered this lens i cant wait till it arrives do u think it was worth the price and also does it go well with the sony a230?

I've heard that the F1.4 lens is really really noisy. Is the F1.8 pretty loud? If it has SSM or the other motor in the lens (forgetting the term) then it should be pretty quiet. By the way, epic pwnage on the guy telling you that you had too much text. I chuckled.

@NikeMike417 I'm pretty sure you can find a pretty decent priced on ebay or something. Lens hoods aren't that expensive.
