The Lancer was a 'safety car' that drives the stage as first car at full speed. Unfortunately he only survived the first corner, because the jump (400 meters after the start) was too much.

It is the same jump a this heavy Clio R3 crash in 2009: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lo-qtOeJNS0

  • gotta wonder if that was a human instead of that tree.... go on circuits ffs

  • @cavanrallymad - Note that' you're talking about the double zero car. I'm referring to the zero car. Which drives at race speed, which is also the same car in this video.

  • @DZoneMotorsportTV shite!!!the double 00's are told at the drivers briefing the morning of the rally to drive at half race speed,to make sure everything is in place and is safe.so you are the one thats wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think the weight of the driver made the car unbalanced enough that the rebound wasn't even.. I think suspension should be setup according to the weight of the occupants in a race..

  • It's a case of best for the whole race, stiffer setup for the harder corners but soft enough to land this jump. Still makes an awesome sound tho. Poor Evo

  • shouldnt of hopped on the breaks

  • Vaya forma loca de talar un árbol :S

  • Id never understand why car's suspensions seem to behave so weird opposite to mountain bike/motorcycle ones. On clio crash it seems like theres almost no rebound dampening at all. I've never seen a kit to my bmw e34 (coilovers or not - its just a preload anyway) with anything but compression adjust. not even hi speed/lo speed one. Maybe thats why the set for this particular bmw model from mid-range is about 1000$, exactly the same as ONE mtb bike rear shock with ti spring. Avalanche dhr Service

  • I guess this must just be a bad jump, two crashes.
