  • I can't find any links to cool n quiet. Can you guide me to it? PLEASE

    I have windows 7

    ECS A740GM-M

    AMD Athlon 4850B

    2048 RAM

  • i have amd 4200 windsor clocked at 3.4 ghz

  • what cool'n'quiet does?

  • Cool n quiet reduces your vcore also. it just lowers the clock speed to stabilize the vdrop

  • rmclock ftl. Got enough crap to deal with....coretemp...afterburner...etc. But it works even better on my athlon II x2, it goes down to a minimum of 1ghz, and that is with a very basic 3.5ghz overclock.

  • theres no point in cool and quiet if your vcore is high as shit

lower vcore does much more to reduce heat than a lower clock does

  • how much u want but make it burn lol

    like 3GHZ is ok

  • to stabilize the x2 5000+ you have to lessen you ram spd while raising the voltage. Just keep in mind DDR2 does not like to get more than 2.2V however the athlon can take 1.55 without an issue. Build a 5000+ rig for my lil (girl which is currently 3.2Ghz 100% stable in Vista x64 (48hrs of OCCT testing)

    2x 8800gts 640Mb in SLI + 4Gb ddr2 800 (clocked to 633) she got a 3dmark vantage score of P14080which is not too bad at all considering its a 4 y/o build.
