@Dimitri0809 Australia is a fucking nanny state for all whining bitches who can't handle freedom. I fucking hate this bitch of a country (that is the people and it's government). they are inbred faggots who have no respect for freedom.
@DanYanks Australians are like this with every entertainment now. Entertainment/sport is apparently only for children and "families". You are very lucky to have some smart, wealthy people in the USA who are not complete fucking idiots like here in Australia. No cheerleading here in Australia either etc. It's utterly retarded.
NBL is about the equivalent standard of division one colege. There are a lot of former college players playing in the nbl who didnt cut NBA so it would be worth a shot :)
Yes but unfortunantly AFL is a prime sport in Australia and I don't think most aussies are into Basketball, Most true blue Aussies are into AFL and rugby because....
I don't know I haven't lived here long enough....??
Come on you Austrailian basketball fans. Basketball in your country is dead. As an die hard american basketball fans I think your league is gay and fruity. I watched your PA intro for your final last year. Boys and girls?! That's so family like. Come on it needs to be more die hard okay!. Stupid family stuff. Anyways go Lakers!
3/ Connect the ABA/ABL with education opportunities through Universities, forming a league similar to US NCCA. Allowing players to be developed and educated. And also insuring that the nepotisim of association basketball plays no part in player selection.
4/ Get rid of the AIS - its a hub of elitism in sport
You want to save the league then there is really only one way.
1/ Investigate forming an ASIAN super league, if Australia can take part we would gain a huge media market (China) which would make possible raising of the salary cap.
2/ Raise the salary cap so we can import some REAL TALENT as well as lure elite Aussies at College home. Even if this means we only end up with 2 or 3 teams in the league.

@Salsien
Yeah I don't know why that is the case but it's probably got something to do with the culture.
