LOL if your talking 5 foot deep snow.. Then I will say white out... But it is winding.. Thats why their snow difts.. I want to snow board down that hill...

No cell service, but it would be hard to die out there. You could get to a town within a days walk.

good set of wirechains maybe would have given extra bite on frozen road underneath the snow.
Look for at least a set of two, four is better.
Very tough conditions you had there, hope you made it ok and nobody went into nervous breakdown waiting for you.

simple put the toyota landcruiser into high suspension and diff lock... it'll do better then the hummer... but not sure if that was available in 1995. it looks good even after 12 years though.

Landcruiser is equipped with factory diff locks, but with that much snow it did'nt make much difference.
