Jesus thank you for answering to all my prayers.

@AdonTimasu "1. Scholars believe Jesus was born in Spring, if at all."
---
My butt 'if at all'. There is all sorts of proof that Jesus was born and lived, the same amount of proof that proved Caesar or Attila the Hun lived. If Jesus didn't live then neither did anyone else before him.

@xcdemolisher Actually we do have a Nativity during Yule. It is the birth of either the Sun God or Dionysus. Nativity scenes or parades were common in both Greece and Rome with an infant chosen to play the part of the infant Wine God. I set up a Nativity scene for Dionysus every year

Beautiful!!!!!
@AdonTimasu I'd also like to point out that the tree and most of what goes along with "Christmas" nowdays is the way the world has chosen to celebrate and has nothing to do with the Christian faith whatsoever. The presents we do in rememberence and representation of the gifts the wisemen presented to Jesus when they visited Him.

@AdonTimasu I think I deleted what I originally wrote? But, basically I said that theologians ACTUALLY believe Jesus was born in the fall due to the references to the Harvest in the Gospels. And, my point was it doesn't matter when Christ was born. All that matters is that He was born. The fact that Yule and Christmas share some traditions was strategic. I also don't think anyone is left alive that celebrates yule the way "pagans" originally did. Modern paganism is very different today
