  • how many packs and kits does he have

  • I do quite a bit of product testing for several companies so I can give the viewers alot of options for Kit. If I dont use them I cant very well give an honest review!

  • Hi Dave, In all your experiences with this kind of ground shelter, have you ever had troubles with snakes trying to come in at night? Where I live the rattlesnake is quite abundant. Thanks for all your great videos by the way. You're responsible for me and my kid getting interested in the outdoors and basic self-reliance!

  • Will maybe he could be behind enemy lines an he only need this kind of shelter for one night.I'm thinking if you in a hostile area you'll want to be dug in and not move.you couldn't build a fire. and how many fighter pilot carry sleeping bags.this could be a scene of a hunter who got lost in the woods are he hurt.any one carry a sleeping bag when you go hunting I might be wrong but my thought on this is a emergence shelter.

  • @HandMeThatHammer the situation when you get picked up the next day

  • what if you have too pee during the night?

  • one thing to remember with camo is when your covering up are the main thing to stop on yourself is Skin Shine! areas like face, hands and if you in shorts and T- shirts then Arms and Legs. so use charcoal and Dirt, (Mud) you dont have to do a total cover up unless you think you need to?.

  • @SuperMonkeyballzz No, your missing the point! What situation would require you to to survive in the wilderness without preperation? We are talking about a shelter that you use "ONLY ONCE"! How long do you think you will make it, if you spent 8 hours a day making a shelter only to leave it the next morning? Only to make another shelter a few hours later, that takes another 8 hours to make? THE POINT IS, this is "10 year old boy scout shit", that does not apply in the real world.

  • @HandMeThatHammer Yeah but you're missing the point. You could carry a sleeping bag, and a propane stove, and a tent and....hell why even walk just throw everything on an ATV. You could do all that and have a blast but Dave's videos are about surviving in the woods with minimal gear and using nature and your noggin to get through.

  • @SuperMonkeyballzz I don't give a shit how cold it was when he made this vid. This is completely useless! Buy a fucking sleeping bag. Do you really think you may be "mysteriously" dropped of in the middle of the wilderness with a bunch of gear? My kid builds better shelters in the back yard. It's not smart to spend all day making a shelter that you will only use once. From Afganistan with love!

  • @HandMeThatHammer Easy to say from your couch...he said it was 17 degrees out and it was still daylight.

  • You spent hours making a shelter that you plan to use one time? Dumb
