Hey man, just slow down and work on the feel of the groove. Slap, if not played with the right amount of groove is just too annoying and winds up sounding like mechanics gone wrong. You've got the technique down, now go buy the book "slap it" or "the ultimate slap bass" and this will take your playing to unfathomable places. good luck

it is a Status Kingbass.
If you type 'Status Graphite' into google, you'll find all their basses on there.
