Nonhlanhla Mokoena (speaking in Zulu) rose above poverty, illegitimacy and teenage pregnancy to become a nuclear physicist. Now she works to supply South Africa with electricity from Koeberg nuclear power plant. She spoke at the MTN Sciencentre and will be a speaker at the biggest science festival in Africa, SciFest Africa, in Grahamstown in April 2008. www.scifest.org.za
