Some video shot from West Coast Railway Company's 'Jacobite' steam train running from Fort William to Mallaig. Shot on a not particularly nice Sunday afternoon in July 2009. Includes footage crossing the Glenfinnan viaduct.

All clips apart from the final piece of video were shot on the Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera, the final shot was taken on the Canon Powershot SX1 IS as I was testing for wind noise, hence the stereo, albeit slightly blustery audio!

The locomotive in use was LNER K1 No. 62005, currently named 'Lord of the Isles'.

  • The res on your videos are top notch! Are you uploading mpeg4 or AVI?

  • I believe this one was actually very high bitrate mpeg2, but I usually upload .mp4 H.264 now :-)
