Reid Duffy Chronicles. In this episode, Reid Duffy profiles 1940's actor and Indiana native, Clifton Webb. Most famous for his role as Lynn Belvedere in the 1948 film "Sitting Pretty", Clifton Webb moved to New York City at an early age with his mother where he began a lengthy acting career. Clifton Webb also stared in such movies as "Laura" and "The Razor's Edge". Clifton Webb was nominated for the Academy Award three times during his acting career, but never won the prize. This video is from Episode 3, Segment 3 of the Reid Duffy Chronicles. Reid Duffy is an Indianapolis newscaster reporting for WNDY, and previous to that worked as an on-air personality for the ABC affiliate in Indianapolis, WRTV 6 News.

  • An excellent quick biography. Clifton Webb played many parts but they always contained Clifton Webb in the character. Hollywood was diminished with his passing.

Since the late great Clifton Webb is one of one of my all time favorite actors, I found this video especially entertaining & informative. Mr Webb was truly one of the icons of th cinema. I think he would have loved this heartfelt tribute...thank you again for sharing it with us!
