ok people, to get the story straight, an italian or german artist put it there. not sure which one. anyways, the artist put it down there as a dedication to all the men who have lost their lives at sea. it has been there about 35 years. its at elbow reef a.k.a. north dry rocks. the water is about 30 ft. deep. trust me... i saw it yesterday
nice job, idk what time u went there to have people not swarming the place.. i guess during the week would be a good time.. anyways nice video, brings back a good memory...
He didn't fall he was actually put there...the reason he was put on that very spot is because of the strong currents all around him which keeps the statue clean compared to sunken ships. It's really interesting. BUT I hate the barracuda that has lurked around him for about 10-15 years.
I live in Florid and have been there many times. I love it the water in the video is about 15 ft but when the tide changes it can actually get up to 45 ft deep. It's awesome can't wait to go again.
