("Thumbs up" will help others find and learn from this video) This is the first reported successful use of a mirrored laser lens to decrease or eliminate an obstructive vitreous eye floater. This eye floater would normally be considered untreatable due to the very close proximity to the patient's own crystalline lens (about 0.25mm). It would slide down into the inferior cul de sac near the pars plana where a direct approach from the laser is optically impossible. This video shows and graphically describes the use of an angled mirror incorporated into a contact lens to deflect the laser energy into that recessed and otherwise inaccessible area. The wide angle scan of the eye at the end of the procedure show that the effort was well worth it. Dr. James Johnson is medical director of Vitreous Floater Solutions in Irvine California. His is the only practice in the world exclusively treating ye floaters. It is an international practice with frustrated and desperate patients coming in from all over the world. Not all patients have treatable floaters so it is important to read the important information at his web site. Thanks, Dr. J

  • @TheLysegicmind Isn't is "Lysergic"? anyway, yes, there are afew in Europe who use the laser, although treating younger people is full of its own challenges.

  • what the cost of a single treatment? an average is best say the median price out of 10 treatments.

  • You're a true hero doc!

  • @VitreousFloaterSolns Ok, thanks !! Sorry, i'm french and i didn't understand if "Isn't is Lysergic" was a question??

  • @MediaEpic Age is not the only factor, but it is an important one. I don't like to discuss personal particulars on Youtube. Contact me via my web site if you wish.

  • @VitreousFloaterSolns Would I be treatable at the age of like 30? or do people who have gotten their floaters at a young age, are they not treatable, or am I just to young to do the lazer treatment?

  • @MediaEpic Too young, most likely
