With Manhattan in the midst of a development boom, locals fear the city's bohemian character is being lost. The famous Chelsea hotel stands as an isolated reminder of a disappearing era.
"People at the Chelsea are all originals", states local Ed Hamilton. "There's no normal people here". It was within the threadbare rooms of this faded Victorian beauty that some of the 20th Century's greatest artists resided. Dylan Thomas drank himself into an early grave here. Nancy, the girlfriend of Sex Pistol Sid Vicious was murdered here. And on a cheerier note, Bill and Hillary Clinton named their daughter after a song Joni Mitchell wrote about staying there.

For such a so called bohemian atmosphere, it sure does pack an expensive price tag. The majority of the people living here now are only yuppies and wannabe artists trying too hard to be different. New York (especially Manhattan) is not what it used to be.

Cindy Gallop is apparently a pretty rich advertising exectuive with a lavish multi-million dollar condiminium, yet she still can't find a decent dentist or orthodontist or maybe a periodontist in order to fix her disgusting fuck teeth. No wonder that blogger shits on her ugly yuppie ass
