The weird, fascinating atmosphere of this movie shows that George Lucas had something special as a young director than lost his touch when Star Wars episodes 1-3 came around. I'm not sure why.

There's a good bit of CGI in this scene.

    1) THX's eyes rolling back is an added effect. In the original, he was simply staring straight ahead.

    2) The radioisotope he's manipulating is glowing orange and burning through everything in the new version - in the original movie, it was just a tiny grey capsule that just... sat there... when it was dropped. It's still apparently dangerously radioactive, but there's absolutely no /visual/ aid to indicate that in the original version.

I saw the movie once, in university while up in UB, and NEVER remembered either the eyes going back or the radioactive display of a dangerous isotope burning and melting away. I KNEW it wasn't my imagination.

I couldn't finish it, it was boring as hell for me. And I usually enjoy more intelligent films like this too. What do you think about that?

They're so fucking stupid. Yeah, when he's controlling a crane holding an extremely dangerous piece of...whatever with acidic properties is the best time to apprehend him, so just go ahead and lock his brain up.

@pescadoygamba: To get advertising 'banned' on Youtube, no. That'll never happen, as that's where they (Google) make money. But although it'll never go away, you can block it through your browser. I use Chrome, and an App through Chrome's app store called Adblock, which is 100% free and works wonders blocking all ads on any website, as well as popups. I think Firefox has Adblock as well, but I doubt Internet Explorer has any such thing. So just use Adblock and you'll never deal with ads again.
