@Denb7 and really if you are all about deodorizing your pits, grow your own lavender(or various other herbs) and extract the essential oils and make your own deodorant.
-
@Denb7 Being frugal is something respectable but being cheap is not usually a good thing...especially when it comes at the expense of one's health, the environment, fair trade, etc - Tom's of Maine really isn't that expensive but it does cost more than speed stick because of the obvious quality standards and the mission of the company.
-
@Denb7 I really hope you recycle! and If you like deodorant so much, support a good company like Tom's of Maine.

lol, it's true about kids these days, I'm 40 years old and always preach about saving a buck here and there, thanks for the upload and instructions.
Its not free, since you already paid for it. It should be called, how to get the most out of your money and even then, that is a questionable statement. Since you are using a microwave (energy costs), along with environmental impact. I would be interested to know if you recycle the plastic yourself? Also if you want something completely FREE, use your urine as a plant fertilizer. And you're right, BF said a penny saved is a penny earned but somebody else said, time is money.

@galagarian75 Sure it's paid for, but makers include an some product designed to hold the deodorant cake in place, which is normally discarded. Microwave energy costs for a 10 sec. warming, is negligible in my opinion. If I could afford solar panels, I'd have them. I recycle everything I can. We drive a Prius & Smart Fortwo and use canvas shopping bags.
I care about the environment, but don't consider myself an environmentalist. I'm a cheapskate! Tom's is too expensive, but thanks!

You kids now-a-days and your fancy throw away mentalities. Yes... all that work! I know, all of 45 seconds from start to finish. I'm pooped... I'd better go take a nap.
