Safer London Problem Solving Awards 2009 - Redbridge

The Safer London Problem Solving Awards are hosted annually in London to promote and celebrate problem solving across the Metropolitan Police area. The awards are a partnership between the Metropolitan Police Authority, Safer London Foundation, Transport for London and the Metropolitan Police Service. The winners of the main award are presented with a cheque for £10,000, which they use to fund community projects in their borough.

Distraction burglary and rogue traders can have far-reaching and devastating consequences on the vulnerable victims. The purpose of this initiative was not only for police and partners to address the causes or bring the offenders to justice, but prevent incidents of distraction burglary and rogue trading in a sustainable way.
