I noticed that when CPR was initiated, the head of the bed was left up and I did not see a back board placed under the patient. Can the program be adapted to require specific steps in procedures?

Medications used for chest pain-Oxygen, nitroglycerin sublingual or spray, aspirin and morphine are used to treat chest pain according to AHA guidelines. Follow MD orders and record results. Advice patient of NO SMOKING while oxygen is running because oxygen is explosive. Obvious but some patients try to break rules especially if long time smokers.

Patient teaching-A patient having chest pain may become very anxious. It is necessary to reassure patient as much as possible. Explain intervention.
