It does, I do, you don't. When spirituality becomes a part of economic practice we can all become "rich". "Money", as we have come to accept it, is nothing less than a license for the banks to manipulate the population.

  • The woman offers half a crown and the man says no, I came seeking ubuntu. She thinks to herself he's cute but I'm done with him, and makes him vanish. I believe this gross heartlessness is because children no longer see people they know and care about accomplishing anything of value directly, and their role models routinely act just like the woman in the video.

  • Where does he get all the spare parts and tools required without somebody at some point using money to purchase them?!? Also, how does the man travel to the location of the incident without money unless he is within walking/cycling distance. Also, how is the man able to receive a phone call without using money?!?

  • @goobledell You're right.... but anyway, I don't think the video is very realistic. As I said it's intended to be a funny introduction to freeconomism and I don't think the people who made it really thought it through. Or do you think that many people act like the woman in the video ? I really hope not.

("as an idea it becomes a sickness"... what I mean is not hugging every single person in the street, but at least accepting and respecting everyone as much as you can.)

  • @LoveConnieAndTH: A kind person getting their bike fixed would have studied the countenance of the mechanic somewhat to attempt a closing that fit his feelings. I have no wish for anyone's sacrifice in behalf of me being a heartless jackass. Quite possibly the man has a different view than I, but maybe he also was hurt and confused and never volunteered again. To me, unconditional love is a feeling; as an idea it becomes a sickness.

  • @goobledell How do you know the woman is like that ? This is just a simple video intended to be funny, not serious, while explaining the idea of Freeconomy at the same time. I think "he's cute" is just there because it's funny. And how do you know the woman isn't ready to do a sacrifice for someone herself ?? How did you want her to react, then ? That man seems to have no problem with her ; if people aren't perfect, you should accept it. That is the idea of unconditional love and giving.

  • @LoveConnieAndTH The man is seeking a deeper human sharing with the world around him, through being a helper or rescuer. The woman is a brutal solitary, open to the fellow only as a cute accessory or a fixit device; not for human sharing (ubuntu). I cannot imagine being like that. Many children have related to me very similarly to how the woman does.

  • @goobledell Huh. I didn't understand a word.

  • Heh...awesome vid, nice throwback to the 'silent movie' era. Sounds like the idea of a resource based economy is picking up momentum. That's a good thing...what's money for these days besides keeping score in some finite game of no practical worth. I gave up playing Monopoly when I learned sociological studies. Keep up the good work and keep spreading the word!

  • @Stargazer7121 pick one of his claims apart instead of declaring victory by fiat.
