  • How long do you have to be on the Niacine before you can get off of your MEds?

  • @seebistoo

I would call the International Schizophrenia Foundation to find a doctor nearby who has used niacin.

My impression from listening to speeches by Dr. Hoffer is:

    1. The earlier niacin is used after diagnosis, the higher the cure rate.

If niacin is given within the first year or two after diagnosis, the cure rate is as high as 80-90% according to Dr. Hoffer.

    2. In others, niacin will simply allow lower and lower doses of drugs to be used, slowly reduced over a period of years.

  • I want help from this. Can it work for me? Where can I go to get help from this?

  • @blakkorchyd niacinamide is not nicotinic acid (niacin), it is similar but does not have the same effects.

  • @seebistoo As I understand it, it's not just the niacinamide, you also have to identify and eliminate underlying food allergies, boost other B vitamins across the board, and take a few other supplements along with clean eating (organic whole foods). I realize your comment is old but felt required to respond on this issue. Hoffers' work offers real hope and help to people with mood and mental disorders. It's not a miracle cure, it's a treatment of sensitivities and underlying deficiencies.

  • Where can I get help with this? I want to see a orthomolecular doctor.
