May be because everyone buys it for the higher price in Europe. The taxes are one reason. another reason is the export problem if the EURO is that strong like the past years

You're right. It may as well be an entirely seperate brand. Although, I would add that the Ford Fusions sold here with V6s are pretty snappy...In fact, the one I've got now beats the SHIT out of any other 4 door non-turbo or v8

Ford's attempt at selling fast cars to MALE 20-somethings will not help their troubled business model. Where's the profit? You have to sell a car that many more people of all genders and ages can buy..like a civic. You can'r make a profit selling 4,000 RSs a year! Sorry, but Ford is too late to the game and are just teasing us with flashy paint. Oh, and for $40,000 US...that's not close to tempting me. I'll keep my MAZDASPEED 3 GT for $23,000 US!!!

Ford HAD to bring the Focus RS to the U.S. because they couldn't come up with a single fucking idea by themselves and HAD to rely on Ford Europe's engineering division. Fucking pathetic!

It will be a lot cheaper in Nordamerica. We in Europe always have to pay more for Cars. For a BMW 330i for example we have to pay about 55.000$
