  • The reason you can do those is that those are chin-ups, not pull ups. Look at your first video and notice that your palms are facing away from you.

  • Yeah, those are chin-ups, not pull-ups. Chin-ups are much easier to do than pull-ups, at least they are for me.

  • Wow... and why did you video tape this?!? And put on the internet for everyone to see?!? And you little "pullup" video were you disabled the comments... WOW. You clearly used a bench to push off with you legs! Pathetic and fake!

  • My advice in training for the pullup (palms facing away) is to do 3-4 sets of jumping pullups i.e. jump, grab the bar and pull so you use momentum, then a couple of sets of negative reps i.e. stand on a box and lower yourself slowly. Do this every 1-3 days and after 2 weeks or so you will be able to perform a couple of pullups in the upper range of motion. Train this until you feel comfortable and then gradually increase the range of motion until you can do pullups from a dead hang. Good luck!

  • Your arms are looking really nice! Set your goals. 10 perfect reps with either hand position. That would put you above the average woman sooo far! Maybe one woman in 10,000 could do that.
