The official diagnosis is that a chip of bone in his ankle snapped off and was floating freely. This causes immense pain and would effect performance. Don't be so harsh on the guy he was only in college at the time.

u really gotta feel sorry for riley, he started the first 4 games and had a 57% comp but then on a random 42-7 win over CSU tedfag decides to pull him just because nate sucked tedfags cock. pretty sad.

yo, finally he's led us to another bowl victory. not the most mobile QB, but yet another product of Jeff Tedford's long line of great QBs. These last few years has been tough for the QBs cuz there is lots of talent on the team. This also makes him one of the most winningest QBs to touch the pigskin at Cal. quit complaining cause we all get frustrated when we don't go Rose Bowling. . . . but yeah look towards the future of the program, Wanna go back to the days of Tom Holmoe??

I want you all to shut the fuck up...first off If anyone of you can play in front of over 80,000 fans on a broken leg tell me because if you can I will believe you, but considering that none of you are division 1 athletes and couldn't throw a football to save your life, I'm gonna leave it there....Nate was the #1 Jr. QB coming into the season and was doing great until he broke his leg...so do not complain cause I guarantee no one could have preformed even at all with a broken leg

Ok, So he definatly DID NOT have a broken leg. If he had a broken leg smart ass then the xrays would have said, POSITIVE. But Nates xrays were NEGITIVE meaning no broken bones. Do i have to simplify that for ya dumbass. OH and does a "broken" leg make a QB stare down a reciver the entire time or make stupid choices like trowing into coverage or accualy trowing to our guys. Sorry buddy, but even if nates leg was broken, he should have been on the bench

who would know if he had a broken leg some random person or his actual teammates. Granted Im only a freshman, I play for Cal and im damn good friends with him, we eat lunch all the time so dont call me a smart ass and shut the fuck up.

Wow do ya feel special now, you get to eat with Nate. So special guy, how come team docters cleared Nate to play, cause they wouldn't have cleared him if he had a broken leg. Or maybe they might have missed it, because you know those guys at U.C. Berkely, they just are not top of the line right. How was he able to walk on it or even stand on it with out a cast, cause if your legs broken, you can't do that either. So buddy either your a very bad friend of Nates, or your a liar, probley a liar.
