Timmy had a need to be understood that drove him to distraction. Even through the mist of morphia he saw love and he also saw how much we were missing.
The heart is the only source of desperation in man and Tim sang with all his heart.
And I would say yes all people poetic or no are desperate today. But poetic people in particular. Tim is poetry.

@harleybunt I am not sure what desperate means in this context ,are all poetic people who sing of life's sorrows desperate ?He evidently could and did express the love in his heart as his body of beautiful songs can attest, In fact ,it says on Tim's grave stone, (He sang from his heart)

How wrong an observation Tim was a poet who bared his soul for us to understand that we all feel these things, However ( this song is not even his ), it is a song written and sung By Badfinger, so if this appears to not be as pro postive as you like blame the English group Badfinger , this song is about the loneliness of a prostitute by the way!!

oy, he was a very delicate soul who always saw the glass half empty. I hope he is at Peace now, wonderful artistic who died too young.
