This is just a quick video about very basic disc selection. To help beginners determine which type of disc to use on any given shot.

The main focus of the video is the strategy of using the slowest most controllable disc that will reach the target. It is similar to a guideline in ball golf where you try to take a normal swing whenever possible. So rather than throw a driver and just try to throw it softer it will be more consistent to throw a normal shot with a putter.

Cool, thanks for watching. I have another video about good beginner discs so you may want to check that out. I also highly recommend checking out the "throwing basics" and "putting basics" videos by discraft here on youtube. They are super helpful.

    Have fun out there!

  • how do you find a begginners gruop to join and get started in the art of disc golf?

  • I use a star Vulcan and I'm only a kid. It works out really good for beginners

  • @kingcharelsyoung29 you can throw it further the more you try. I threw my Quest A. Technologies Crossfire putter today about 320 ft. I couldn't throw a driver that far when i first started lol.

  • Its crazy how people can throw putters 400 feet
