The discrimination comes as a result of your friend calling herself a lesbian when she wasn't all along. People like your friend help reinforce the idiotic view that gays and lesbians can be "cured" or that lesbians all just need a man. Had your friend identified herself as what she is ( a bisexual) from the beginning she wouldn't have gotten so much flack. The things you do don't only affect you.
