So funny. So much personality. That's the difference between "Chicago" on Broadway and the movie "Chicago." The movie was trying so hard to have this edgy sexiness that it resulted in a pretty one note preformance (except for Zeta-Jones. She was very good) and they nearly lost all the comedy that's in the script. This number is prefect example. Nothing like Broadway, man.

This was ALREADY on Broadway from April 1975 to August 1977. Anne was Bob Fosse's girlfriend and replaced his ex-wife, Gwen Verdon, as Roxie Hart when Gwen left the show. Later, Bob dumped Anne for some other younger dancer, just as he did to Gwen for Anne (and a few others!). =;-)

@sweeney60 The "original" was with: Chita, and Gwen. Gwen had to have surgery and was replaced by none other than Liza. Ann, at the time, was (this is really fuzzy but it WAS the 70's) at the end of her relationship with Fosse.
