I can't say I'm big on forgiveness. In my experience, people who have hurt you once will likely do so again. Screw the Bible, church, and all those telling you how to think and feel. (You can't get meaningful ethics or philosophy out of a book!)
IMO, the hard part is to avoid becoming cynical and mistrusting of ALL people. U.T. video pk8kM6ivaOo is an interesting lecture that rambles a bit, but makes the point that you really have no choice but to trust others to a certain degree.
Very interesting video. Other than in a religious context, I think forgiveness is something we take for granted. We attach no significance to the depth of it's meaning. The "I'm sorry - "I forgive you" combo is seen as an automatic response, kind of like the "Hi, how ya doin'" - "Fine, how are you" thing. Both sentiments have become diluted to the point they've lost their value. However, if someone is TRULY remorseful, there is nothing more meaningful than to be forgiven....IMO...Peace Out

Good video. Thank you.
As somebody stated. When we look back, the things we did not act upon are the ones we regret, rather than the mistakes.
