Over the next few decades, the business and social landscape worldwide will be re-shaped by climate change. One aspect of this will be an increased investment in technologies and systems which reduce carbon emissions compared with 'business as usual'. There will also be investment in creation and protection of carbon sinks - both natural, such as forests, and artificial, such as carbon-capture-and-storage systems. This presentation will provide an overview of different kinds of opportunities which this will bring. It will look at the technical challenges which will need to be tackled, current and future incentives to investment, and different strategies for success in the new marketplaces which are emerging.
