Canon HG10 Preview Footage

Sample Footage from the Canon HG10 AVCHD HDD Camcorder. I got a rare chance to play with this camera and directly compare it to the Canon HV20, and I have to say I was impressed.

Hi There,

Can you give-me a tip ? I was wondering if the HG10 works good with Mac . I don't have Final cut but I do have Ivideo 8 and Ivideo 4 which I think it's better than Ivide8 to edit my movies .

For all of you wondering , the reason why it doesnt have an HD setting is because it wasn't compressed to be fitted in HD , and even if it WAS , it wouldnt work because this was in 2007 which means YOUTUBE NEVER HAD HD SETTINGS BACK THEN

This video is super: 5 stars! I'm happy to see this result with this camera. I have this camera too and was wondering which quality do you choose when you did the rendering? I use Vegas and noticed that with .avi, .mp4, etc. I have a losing of quality... any suggestion?

u didnt upload this at full quality first of all its not capable of being hd and its not great resolution very pixelated...try putting bit rate at 15,000 that helped me alot

it might hold 5 hours, but it also takes +/- 5 hours to dump the footage, it's hard to beat being able to just swap tapes and be ready to roll... that said the hf 10/11 has a nice mix of both, it has internal flash and a flash slot, so say you do fill up the internal you can just swap in a fresh card and go.
