One of the Saturn-exclusive areas found within Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight. Take note of:

  • Over 1,000 HP! That's dedication.

  • @AXL398 - Haha. Not really. On the Xbox 360 version, I actually kept my console on for over 250 hours straight so I could level up to Lv. 99, and I'm pretty sure that I had over 4,000 HP at that point. I was also dealing 999 damage to pretty much everything with my Muramasa. XD

  • Hey I didn't know you can maintain the wing smash like that. I thought it was a distance limited. How do you do it for so long?

  • @UnholyChicken - In the Saturn version, it automatically works this way. The only ways to stop it are to run into something or change forms. In the PlayStation version, you can still extend it, but it eats up a lot more MP as you do. The trick is to perform the motion to do the move, then - while still doing the Wing Smash - do the motion again and again and again. I can usually extend it two or three times without much trouble, but it's kinda tricky to steer.

  • I used to play this game on PS1 as a kid. Scared the shizz out of me.

  • @WyattEpp - I know that Castlevania Dungeon has an MP3 of it. Also, I believe that this version of Beginning is on disc six of that massive Castlevania music collection that was released in Japan. I'll send you a link to the track listing if I can find it.

  • @kubevubin Yeah, that I knew. I recognise the genes of Castlevania in this song, but I was hoping there was an actual track title to go with the mp3 that's been floating around the internet since forever lest it never have a proper tag. Thanks for the response, though; I'll do some more digging.

  • @WyattEpp - It's not on the OST, because the OST is based around the original version of the game. The Saturn version's added tracks aren't on any OST. As for knowing the name of the song, most hardcore Castlevania fans will recognize variations of certain high-profile tracks.

Also, I'm not sure if she composed this one or not.

  • So do we know the title of the song? I assume the composer is still Yamane Michiru, but this isn't on the OST...

  • What a great game. The only flaw is the game is mindblowingly easy.
