Emile was the son of a government official and opera singing mother. It's interesting to note that Emile perceived sound as colours and patterns! WOW!! What a beautiful polished sound this man has. Many thanks for posting...

I know he had his own sound system which he claimed gave superior sound, much to the annoyance of studio engineers. I have to say, some of his recordings do have a great sound quality. especially his version of 'You Never Know What You're Missing Till You Try', or 'Yellow Bird'.
