According to an article in The Wall Street Journal, Selena Gomez helped her BFF Demi Lovato land her roles on the Disney Channel. The article is about Demis rise to fame In 2006, Demi attended another Disney talent search. They cast her for the short series As the Bell Rings, but Selena has a big part in Demi landing the Camp Rock role, as well as some others. During a break from filming Wizards of Waverly Place Selena called Demi out of the audience and had her belt out a version of Christina Aguileras Aint No Other Man. That got the Disney execs attention!

Mandy, an old cast member (Which was mentioned in Sketchy Beginnings) visits while on vacation. She starts to act like Sonny because the rest of the cast likes Sonny and doesn't like Mandy anymore and when she finds out Sonny replaced her, she steals the attention. Meanwhile, Sonny is walking around the studio to try to think everything out and runs into Chad, so they go to Sonny's dressing room and Sonny tells Chad what is happening, Chad feels bad for Sonny and comforts her. When they're getting closer, Tawni walks in on Sonny and Chad who are kissing (to her amazement).
